EPISODE 005: SUPER DOPE RONDEL HOLDER

Rondel Holder is a marketing executive who keeps on the pulse of urban culture, working at notable media companies for 10+ years, such as ESSENCE, Complex and VIBE. Business and pleasure have provided Rondel the opportunity to travel frequently, both domestically and internationally, often dining out and opting for the “local” approach to travel versus being a traditional tourist – making many friends along the way. In 2012, Rondel started sharing his travel and foodie experiences on his blog, Soul Society 101, creating a voice for the under-served Young Black Professional & Creative. Since then, Soul Society 101 has blossomed into a top travel multi-platform experience that includes the website, events, merchandise, group travel and most recently Soul Society 101 - The Podcast. Featured in publications such as the New York Times, New York Daily News, Black Enterprise, BET and more, Rondel continues to push the culture, engaging daily with over 80,000 travel and food enthusiasts in Soul Society 101's social media reach and striving to create more opportunities for Young Black Professionals & Creatives to positively impact the world as global citizens. In this episode, we discuss newly married life, embarrassing moments, how to overcome failures and pitfalls, life at Temple University, his most dopest moment to date, why he doesn't like lazy strippers, more!
